The way mine is similar to a magazine that is already used is that the main image is the “baddy” of the film. Although the scuba helmet person isn’t shown a lot in the trailer and showing bad things he does it is hinted, So buy having it as the cover of my magazine it shows that he is a main feature in the film, which would make people want to go see it to see what he does in the film.  Mine is also similar to a real magazine by the title being at the top in the center and infront on the image. I decided to have not so much writing on the magazine because i didn’t want to over power the image.

I am really proud of my poster i think it looks just as professional as an existing poster. Mine is similar to this “The Orphanage”  by having a black outline but i think i have challenged this by blurring the edges to give it a more eerie effect. I also used similar credits as this was common on most film posters. Although my image isn’t as clear as to what it is as some posters i think is one which is quite creepy and looks effective.

2) How effective is the combination of your main product (trailer) and ancillary texts (Film Poster, Film Mag Cover)?

I don’t think my poser and magazine cover are as good as the trailer because i didn’t spend as long on them, but i think the combination of all three work well together. I think because i haven’t really given away what Alex (scuba helmet) looks like in the trailer, it works well that i’ve shown him in the magazine and poster so i haven’t over done it too much. I think each of my products would served their purpose as the trailer is the main feature which would convince people to actually watch the film where as the use of the magazine cover and poster is to get the film known so that people would wonder what it’s about and hopefully look on youtube to see the trailer.

3) What have you learned from audience feedback?

I have learned a lot from audience feedback because it’s useful to hear other peoples point of view because they may have spotted something that we could change that we hadn’t. Throughout editing we asked for various peoples opinions. When we finished our first draft we mainly got positive feedback, but we tried to constructively critique ourselves so that we could make it even better. Examples of audience feedback:

Too much swearing in trailer - we did take this into consideration and tried to mute the swearing out but it ruined the fluency of the trailer so we decided to keep it and making the trailer an 18.

Music became to loud to quickly- We changed the sound levels so that the music came into the trailer more gradually

Acting not serious enough, made it funny - Our friends did the best they could to help, so we tried to cut out all the bits where they start to laugh but there wasn’t much more we could do than that.

Font on trailer needs to change – I went on dafont.com to choose an appropriate font.

4) How did you use technologies in the Construction and Research, Planning and Evaluation stages?

Research- For the research i used youtube a lot to look through trailers and to look for music. I also used google to find images of existing products to help give me inspiratio. I also looked out for trailers that came on tv to get the full effect of them how everyone would view them. I also had a look on forums on movie websites to get other peoples opinions.

Construction- When constructing our horror trailer we used Imovie on the macs. We used this to cut down the clips and to arrange the audio to put to it. We used youtube to find music and we used www.video2mp3.net to convert the sound from youtube to and itunes song. I constructed my magazine and posters on Photoshop where i uploaded images that i took from my digital camera. I also used some edditing efects from iphoto which is also on the macs.

Evaluation – When evaluating i used wordpress.com to compare existing products with my own. I also used Facebook and youtube to upload my work to get feedback to help me improve it and to also get constructive critism. I think uploading my work onto Facebook proved the most effective as that was where most people could see it and give feedback. We didn’t get any negative feedback leaving me and Emma feeling positive about our trailer.

I started with this picture which i was going to use for the magazine cover:

I didn’t think this looked creepy enough, so i edited the picture to make it look like there was only a reflection. I did this by using the stamp tool and repeat the woods image.

I then played around with the coulour settings as i think the original image is really dull and i came up with this:

I think that this looks a lot more professional and i like the way you can only just make out that there is a reflection in the water. At first this was supposed to be my magazine cover, but i don’t think it would work so well so i decided it would look better if this was a poster possibility, but i want to play around with other pictures which i have taken to make my decision.

The next thing that i needed to do was find a font fitting enough for my film, so i looked on www.dafont.com where i searched through horror fonts to find the best one for my poster. Here are my different attempts:

In the second and third ones i have put a blur around the outside to make it look more professional.

I wasn’t happy with the fonts i found so i kept looking and found Northwood High which i think looks most effective. From the research i did of film posters i wanted to add credits to it. So once i had done that i was happy with my completed poster :

I think my poster conveys the meaning to the audience by it being creepy and mysterious. I think it’s the kind of image you have to look closely at.

In my poster i changed the colour settings so that the colours were bolder but the image was overall darker. I put a blur around the edge to make it more eerie. I used the smudge tool so that only the reflection was showing.

I think that from my starting image, i made a huge improvement with all the edits i made, and i could see it being used professionally.

The first step we needed to do once we upload the footage was to split all the clips up so we could work what we needed and what we didn’t.

When sat down to start editing out trailer we had about 30 minutes to cut down to 2 minutes, so we first needed to cut out all of the unnecessary footage which we definitely wouldn’t use in the trailer. It took us a good couple of weeks to keep cutting it down to how we wanted.

We used imovie to edit our trailer, although it was fairly straightforward to use, we seemed to always have problems on the macs because sometimes it would crash or the network would be really slow one week and not the next meaning it took a lot longer to do each step. But overall it was easy enough to arrange the clips and add the audio.

During the editing process we realised from the start how essential a tripod was so we were both disappointed with how shakey our footage was but we tried to do the best with what we had. We thought we had more than enough footage to chose from but we could have possibly had more variety. From the start we knew we wanted it to have a slow build up and have a fast pace towards the end, it was just a matter of cutting it down and keep the start the right length. We literally were cutting down a second at a time to make sure it was spot on.

We had a problem with the audio, for some reason when we uploaded the sound it was in different places from the footage it should have been with, so we had to extract all the audio we wanted to use and re attach it, which could take around 15 minutes each time! This took up a couple of hours we could have been editing because our audio we extracted kept moving around which became really tedious.

When deciding what shots we were going to keep we just made sure that the ones we wanted all varied and that they were in focus. A lot of our footage was stuff we didn’t really need so we just had to cut down the stuff we did want really short.

To make sure we didn’t give to much away we only showed glimpses of Alex in the scuba helmet head, but we made him look like he was watching and the everyone was scared of him, we also show him with a spade hinting that he’s violent. I think we did really well with the mixing up of clips so it turned out as literally a teaser trailer instead of a short story in a trailer.

To create a sense of fear we had a slow build up with creepy music. One of the first shots was looking at Emma from behind trees as though someone was watching her, so that brings in the fear element straight away. We didn’t have anything actually scary happening in the shots we used but used a lot of building up and hinting to make it more scary.

The only transitions we used were fade in and fade out to keep it simple.

Because we filmed it in the day we wanted to change the lighting so it looked darker and more creepy, so we changed the lighting and colour contrasts which i think look really effective.

Sound/audio manipulation/addition

Me and Emma searched for ages for horror music on youtube but it was really difficult to find something that would fit perfectly for it. I started to look through themes of films that already exist. I came across Amity ville horror which had a slow song which we chose to apply to the start of the trailer. Even though it’s been used in a known film we didn’t think it was to recognisable. We then wanted a fast song for the rest of the trailer to make an impact. We also wanted something different so i started going through powerful rock songs and i came across “Throwdown – Burial at sea” and that’s what we used for the fast pace part of our trailer.

The music we put to it was fairly straightforward and fitted really well we just needed to play around with  slowly bringing the sounds in. We had a problem with the audio from the footage as it uploaded wrong so we had to extract and re attach it which took up a lot of time.

We had inspiration from watching other youtube videos of trailers, but i remember seeing one ages ago that had a rock song instead of using an instrumental piece, and we thought it would be really effective if we tried that.

When we got down to about 10 minutes we really needed to focus on what we wanted to keep and how we could vision the outcome because we needed to be confident before we cut bits out. We decided that the best way to get it shorter would be to cut out the “drug taking” and pre drinking that emma did as we thought it would be unneccary and wouldn’t fit in. This cut it down a lot so once we had the scenes we definitely wanted to keep all we needed to do was make them really short and arrange them.
When cutting down the trailer we found that there was a lot of swearing in the footage that we wanted to keep, we decided that we would keep it as it makes it more effective but it would be an 18 trailer, one that would be show at the cinema in 18 films or on youtube where a lot of people would be able to see.

When Emma and i finished our first draft of our trailer we put it on facebook to see what people thought of it so we had time to change it if anyone made any suggestions. The overall feedback was positive the only negative thing was that one person wasn’t sure of what was happening but we edited it that way on purpose because we didn’t want to give away the whole story.

After watching our draft back we felt there were just a few changes that needed to be changed:

Once we did all the last couple of edits we were finally happy with our trailer.

These are a couple of the magazine covers that i looked at and they both quite similar to each other as they both have a large image of main characters of a film. They also have the title of the magazine infront of the image which shows it is most important.

I didn’t want my magazine to look to similar to my poster, so i tried taking various pictures of people who were in the film as from the research i did of magazine covers a lot of them show actors and actresses. Here a couple that i took:

I started to edit some of these but i dont think the images are strong enough to use for a magazine so i thought about pausing a clip from the footage we had to make it seem more like an action shot. It was really difficult to find a shot in focus and this was the best one i could capture.

Once i had a picture i tried editing the colours and mix and matching with black and white settings but overall i didn’t think it looked professional. So i just decided to use another image of Alex who wore the deep sea divers helmet, from pictures that i took from filming. Here are a few that i took :

I chose the third picture as i thought it linked back to the research i did where a main character took up most of the page.

Once i had edited the colour settings and given it a title it turned out like this:

I decided to call it “Motion” because i wanted a word relating to film. So i went on google and researched words similar, others i came up with were:

This is my final outcome, i tried adding more headlines but it covered the helmet which i felt was the most important feature and ruined it a bit.

On our first day of filming me and Emma filmed the beginning scenes of the Trailer. Our plan was to show emma getting ready to go out to the woods reading for a “good time”

We tried to show drug use (fake) and drinking alcohol.

As there was only me and emma there wasn’t a lot of filming we could do but we did a lot of short clips that we thought we could include.

Day 2

On our second day of filming we got a load of our friends to meet us at the woods so we could film the main parts of our trailer. Although we had out shots and angles planned out, we wanted to film more than that of us just having a good time so that when we edit it down it would look more realistic.

Emma did most of the filming this day as i was acting in it, but i helped direct how the shots and angles should be taken.

Once we had filmed all the happy, having a good time scenes we tried to film the more serious bits, the scenes that would ultimately make our trailer scary.

We filmed scenes of me and my friend Lizy running away..screaming.. and acting scared.

We then did some scenes including dialogue so that when we cut the clips down we would be able to have speech to show the plot.

Although it was difficult to act seriously, we made sure we filmed a lot so there would be enough good footage to get out of it.

We did the filming around 3 o clock, we did initially want it to be a lot darker but we thought if we filmed in the evening it would be to dark to capture anything and we didn’t have any good lighting equipment to do late at night. So we thought we could just film it in daylight and edit the colour settings.

Our filming that day took around 2 or 3 hours and we got 30 minutes of footage.

Our main horror characted in the film is somewhere wearing a deep sea divers helmet that my friends mum owns as an antique. As the person who was supposed to wear it couldn’t make it that day we thought we could work around it and do the “scary”scenes another day.

Day 3

On the third day of filming me Emma and Alex who’s playing the person wearing the scuba helmet filmed scenes in the car and the buggy and shots of alex as if he was watching everyone in the woods the previous day.

We had to make sure we did it the same time as last time so that the lighting would be similar.

The filming didn’t go as we had hoped because we didnt have a tripod. I think the footage overall would have turned out more successful if we did have a tripod so it would have looked more professional but we just have to try and work with what we have.

We also filmed some short bits of me screaming and being scared just to make sure we had enough footage.

What went well: I  think that having my friends there to help worked because it was a relaxed environment and they were really willing to help.

What didn’t work: We didn’t have a tripod so it was really difficult to get still shots. We also didn’t have everyone there who was going to help so we couldn’t do everything we had planned at once

I think Down to the Cellar was shown to us because it’s a away of showing how you don’t have to actually have a horror film to scare people. The way it is filmed makes you wonder what’s coming and if anything scary actually does happen. There were a lot of horror conventions used.

Emma and I worked on the short film for a number of weeks cutting it down and deciding what we can keep to make it look most effective. At first we cut it down and it still looked like a short film so we mixed the clips up to give it more edge and more like a trailer. As after  researching trailers i found that they don’t always give the plot away they just give you a general idea so that’s what we tried to do. This was our final attempt at cutting the short film down.

In the end i chose this photo because I thought I could Photoshop it onto a really cool background and so that it looked realistic:

After looking through pictures from when I’ve been to gigs, i found the perfect photo of a stage that i had taken, and I cut the image of Joe onto it. It was more difficult than I had anticipated as there were some things about the image of Joe which wouldn’t fit over the top easily but after using the stamp and mask tool I was able to make it look okay.

At first glance it looks okay, but i had to edit a lot around the feet a lot to make it look realistic. Once i had done that i decided that it would be a good image for the background of my front cover as it looks like a live gig shot. I did thin about putting a band photo for the front cover, but  I thought that would be to typical and i wanted to do something different.

Once i had my background I tried to think of a title. I wanted something that would be music related but wouldn’t be to cheesy. I made a mind map of musical lexis to try to give me ideas. In the end it wasn’t my mind map which helped me get to my title, it was from a conversation i was having with my friends about horror stories. Someone included the word ‘white noise’ and I thought then that would be a catchy name for my magazine. I researched the phrase and it turned out that quite a lot of things are called white noise, and a lot to do with horror films. But not magazines. So I thought I would take it away from the horror scene and use it for the strange sound which it actually means and have it as my title. Once I had added the title I added a few headlines and a bar code. Once I had done this it was really coming together and started to look like a music magazine cover. Here is what I have done so far:

I chose the font for my title by browsing through the different selection of fonts that photoshop had. I found that this one was quite edgey and looked good with my magazine genre. At this point i more or else decided to narrow the rock genre down to hardcore/punk, as i new a lot about the look and the scene.  Due to the foot having to be cut off the bottom of the image of Joe i needed to cover it with another image. I decided that a small band photo would fit in well.

I wanted a band to featur in my magazine so i asked a few of m friends if they would do a photoshoot with me. It helps that two of them are in a band already so they really have the right look for my magazine. I wanted to take simple medium, long and close up shots of the guys together infront of a backdrop as i think that is the most classic way to show a band. This is me and my friends setting up the shoot in the photography studios at college :

The photo shoot went really well and i got all the shots that i needed. Here are a few of the shots i took and a couple that i edited on photo shop :

Once i had all the photos i needed i started to think up a story behind them and the kin of band that they are. As they are a hardcore band i decided to make them out to be quite aggressive but successful at the same time. I called them Together We Hunt as that is the name of one the bands which my friend is in.

Before i had finished my front page i started working on my contents page so that it would have similar aspects. After researching other music magazines such as NME and kerrang i got a few ideas of the best way to lay out my contents. It needed a lot of work. I needed to the cut the photo out better and some how blend it better into the page. I based what would be in contents page from the results of my questionnaire as this gave me an idea of the kind of thing readers like to see in music magazines. I didn’t find it very difficult coming up with the content it was more the time it took to fit it all together. After  working on the contents page it started to look like this:

I am really happy with what my contents page was turning into and i feel confident with the direction i’m going in. I chose to put “Together We Hunt” as half of the page as they were one of the main features of the magazine. Once i finally completed the rest of the contents page it looked like this:

Once i had completed my contents page i needed to touch up the rest of my front cover because i wasn’t fully happy with it. I needed to add more pictures, ones which weren’t from the photo shoot i did with my friends. So i decided to look through photos i had taken from gigs and found that one of them fitted in quite well with the rest of my magazine. My final outcome for my front cover looked like this :

Now that i had my front cover and contents page completed I could focus on my article. I wrote out the article on word, and i had no problem coming up with a good concept of what i would write about the band. I enjoyed the creative writing side of it the struggle was how to present it on a double page spread. I decided to present my article on In Design. I had never used it before so I found it quite difficult to use at first. I was unsure of where to put the pictures and how to lay the columns out. This is my first try :

I learnt how to use text wrap, so the text could wrap around the pictures, i really liked this i think it makes the article look effective. I wanted to fill the rest of the text in to see if the rest of the article was positioned okay. Once i had put in the rest of the text my article looked like this:

I think now that all the text is in, the article looks a lot more professional. I used the photos that I took at the photo shoot with the guys and I think their look is really appropriate for my magazine.

Once i had looked over my magazine with my teacher, we felt that some parts of it were too straight edge and could have been changed around a bit so it would feel more like a rock magazine. I decided that my front cover was good the way it was and i was happy with it, but there’s a few things i needed to change around with my contents page. My first attempt was to move shapes around so it looks a bit more crazy and this is what i came out with:

Once i had done this i felt there were some elements i was happy with but it generally just looked really messy. Although it may convey a “rock” look i think it looked a bit try hard and i don’t think to have a grungey magazine you have to have jagged edges to everything. However, i did like the new image as it has the effect of torn paper and it’s different camera shot so it mixes it all up a bit. I also think it was a good idea to include girls into it. I also likes the twist on the “THIS WEEK” because it’s effective but subtle. The rest of it just looks to messy and not very professional. Going by my inspiration which was Kerrang they have a lot of straight edges but it still looks effective.

There wasn’t much difference in this one from my original one, It still needs something else. I don’t really like the image i have chosen but i definitely need a different image from the one i chose first time around because i used to much of the guys and it needs some variety. I tried one more time to mess it up but not to go over the top and this is what i came out with:

Here i kept the image from my first attempt of editing and used some of the other changes. Although i have only made subtle changes i think it looks a lot better because it doesn’t look so straight edge and goes with the genre of my magazine more. I’m now really happy with my contents page i think it fits the style perfectly and could actually be seen in a magazine.

Now i had touched up my cover i needer to edit my article as it was a bit plain and didn’t really follow the style of my contents page and front cover. I found it quite difficult using Indesign because i didn’ really know how to use the tools properly.

The final bits of editing i needed to do were on my article as it was a bit plain. Here are the final stages i went through:

I changed it around by rotating the pictures, including quotes with backgrounds. I think it now looks a lot more professional than my first attempt. I also brought in yellow that was used in my contents so it all flowed.

I wanted my magazine to be as realistic as possible so i tried to include all the conventions that would be appropriate for rock magazines. It helped a lot to hav researched magazines which gave me ideas for style and content. Kerrang in particular was a big help to my project because i fee i have worked off their style but manipulated it into my own. The grungyness of Kerrang is similar to mine as i have used a similar colour palate ( Black red and yellow) To make mine a bit brighter i have included a bright blue which really stands out.

I wanted to maintain the theme that Kerrang had but put my own twist on it. Kerrang used yellow black red and white in this front cover. In others they have used blue so i thought i would have blue as a main colour throughout my magazine. I kept the title of the magazine the biggest font but i have put it slightly behind the singer so it would seem that the magazine is already a well established magazine and people would know the name and logo without actually seeing all of it. I think Kerrang keep their front cover simple but effective. This was the kind of look i was aiming for my magazine. I chose to include less photos though and kept the singer the main focus. On my front cover i used an image i took at the roundhouse venue in Camden last year, i thought it fitted in well and i tried to blend the colours in with the actual background. Kerrang and most other magazines had their bar code at the bottom of the front cover, so i thought i would use this convention as well. After researching Kerrang i found that they used banners at the top and bottom of their front cover, i thought this looked really effective so i made a black banner at the bottom with names of bands inclued in my magazine.

Here is a contents i found on the internet, it is from quite an old copy of Kerrang, but it still has a similar lay out the contents it has currently. Although Kerrang have kept their contents page quite bright in this issue, i wanted to keep my dark so it has a continuous theme. I liked how straight edge kerrang was, especially the way the text was set out. So i decided to have a similar straight text layout but mixed the pictures up a bit to try and make it look more effective. I also decided tlo use and image of girls. This is to show that although guys may  be the ones reading my magazine, that it is open for girls also and that it may be the type of magazine they would  be interested in. I kept my theme of black red and blue. But to brighten it up a bit i brought in some yellow. I decided to use the band who is the main feature of the article, the main image of my contents. I’m quite pleased with my contents, I think it is professional looking. I tried to use different camera shots, i put in two long shots and one close up.

Here is my main article compared with an article from Kerrang:

Although my front cover and my contents backgound are black, i decided to keep my article white as i thought it would have more of a classic look. Once again the kerrang version is very straight edge, i wanted to change this a bit by using text wrap and slating the images and headings. I decided to bring in the yellow i used from my contents so i could use red and black for my text. So that my contents, front cover and article all link in i have included the blue white noise image throughout. From my research i found that most articles in Kerrang included images of the band from a photo shoot aswell as them playing live. The band that i have written about are my friends band, so i was lucky enough to be able to photograph them at one of their local gigs. I feel this has made my article look a lot of effective and realistic. Compared t Kerrang i didn’t want my images to be to bright, so i edited them on photo shop so they look like they have a sort of faded look. I think it makes the band look as if they have a unique image as well.

I showed my classmates my finished product and i wanted to get their opinion of what they thought about it.

Comments I got for my front cover:

• They liked the blue shape going through my magazine title and that it gave it a unique edge
• The choice of photos was good especially the main singer who really stands out
• Choice of colour fitted in well with the style of the magazine

• They liked that there was an image of girls as it mixed it up a bit and showed the magazine is for girls and boys
• The picture of the band gave the magazine a humourous side
• The layout was good

How does your media product represent particular social groups?

My music magazine represents particular social groups by the colours and style that I have used. I wanted to aim it at people who enjoy rock magazines and base their fashion style around it as well, I think I succeeded  in this because the first thing my teacher said when she saw my finished product was “It looks very “grungy”. This is perfect because the people i hang around with like to think that they are grungers and that’s the kind of scene i wanted my magazine to be for. My magazine represents guys rather than girls as girls generally aren’t in rock bands, but it doesn’t mean my magazine is only targeted at guys, i think girls would read it to. To try and make girls  interested in the magazine i have tried to use images of good-looking guys that would make them want to see more images. The model focused on my front cover has the exact look of people i would expect to read my magazine, so i was really happy with the image that i chose.

Here is a photo of my models and the band Bring Me The Horizon. I wanted my bands to have BMTH’s kind of look, i think i did well as all my models have long hair and two of them have tattoos. By having images of bands with a certain look this will help reach out to my target audience

What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

Large stores such as WH Smiths would sell my product as many people go there to buy magazines of all different types of genres. My media product would also be sold in newsagent as this is another popular place to purchase magazines. There’s always a music section of magazines and all the different genres of music, i think there’s a gap in the market for my genre of magazine.

Here is a quote that i found on the WH Smiths website. They are advertising that they have a wide selection of magazines, so that means they would be happy to distribute mine, as they are trying to make their customers happy by having all the kinds of magazines that they can provide.

Who would be the audience for your media product?

The audience for my magazine would be teenagers around 17/18 who like hardcore/punk music. I think girls could also read my magazine because magazines such as Kerrang are aimed at men but girls still but it. To try to show that it’s a magazine for girls as well i included an image of girls in the contents, to show there are bands with females in as well. I also wanted to aim it at people who enjoy live music and like to read about all the reviews and upcoming gigs.

Ambitions: Ed does illustration and hopes to one day help promote bands by doing the art for their myspace, albums, logos etc. Ed gets inspiration by reading rock magazines to get an idea of what the bands are like and what kind of band promos are out at the moment.

How did you attract/address your audience?

I tried to attract my audience by the style of people who i had in it. When doing my photo shoot i made sure i chose people who have a grunger look and would appeal to my audience. I wanted to make them look cool and realistic so that my audience would take to them. I think the whole look of my magazine is obvious what the genre is and would stand out to the people I am aiming it at.  A typical look of my target audience would be skinny jeans, tight tops, long hair and tattoos. So i think i had the perfect models to attract my audience. I address my audience in an informal way so that they can relate to the magazine and it would almost be like a friendship. I wanted the magazine to be quirky and humourous and I think i achieved this in my article. My magazine would have a website  which has loads of music information that readers would want. It would also include links to myspace and bands own websites for readers further enjoyment. The website for my magazine would also include forums for readers to share new music news and thoughts about bands. I would try and also attract my readers by having a reasonable price for my magazine with further promotions inside.

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

I have learned huge amounts about Photoshop and I feel quite confident with using it now. I worked out how to use the eraser tools and they helped a lot when i was editing my pictures. I also used In design for the first time. I still don’t know a lot about it but my finished article came out okay. If I had more experience with it i think i may have been able to have a better out come than the one I did have, but I’m still happy with it. I learned a lot about screen shots how to do them and to do them throughout the construction of my magazine.

Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

By doing my college magazine I felt that I had learned a lot of skills needed for my music magazine, and i found out how much time and effort is needed to make a magazine. I realised the amount of  editing that would need to be done and the time needed to do so. For my college magazine I don’t think enough research was carried out, so I learned from my mistakes and made sure that I bought many music magazines to get research and inspiration from. Without doing my college magazine i don’t think i would have been able to do my music magazine as well as i have as i learned so much from it. Comparing my college magazine to my music magazine, my music magazine had a much better outcome as i learned how to use photoshop better.
